Photographic Film Index
The Photographic Film Index (PFI) aims to be a comprehensive database of past and present still film stocks manufactured for consumer, professional, and specialized purposes. Over the years, Film Rescue International has kept track of various discontinued and relabeled film types we receive. Robin Canham and Claire Moclock saw this data as valuable to the field of photographic conservation, as well as other endeavors involving the identification, processing, and preservation of photographic films by hobbyists, archives, and museums. They formed PFI by incorporating our data with existing resources including: The Big Film Database, Dark Room Film Index, Filmtypes, Flat Film Archive, Wikipedia List of Discontinued Photographic Films, and Fotoimpex. PFI is updated regularly. Please contact (contact name or link to a form) with corrections and contributions.
