The regulations on international packages coming to, and being returned from Canada are changing.  There are new tariffs and fees over which we have no control.  If you send a package to Canada, whether by mail or courier, please follow the advice in our FAQ on declared value and correct tariff classification numbers: https://www.filmrescue.com/faq/#beforeShipping .  Even low dollar value packages may be subject to added fees through Canada customs.  If we can see that you have submitted an order form, we will contact you to get an okay to pay on your behalf and accept delivery.  We will bill you for the amount we had to pay, plus 5% to cover our credit card or PayPal fee.

As for us sending anything back to the USA, we are trying to get a grasp on new CBP requirements and are seeking advice from a customs broker.  We are no longer permitted to submit paperwork in person at the USA border declaring the contents and value of packages being sent back to our clients in the USA.  We have been directed to apply for an online account and submit documents electronically.  This is not a simple process and it is likely going to add additional costs (USA imposed tariffs, broker fees, etc).  At the moment, any outgoing packages for the USA are on hold, pending determination of the new procedures and costs.  As a very small business, we can’t absorb these added costs.

Canada Post service has resumed but there may be “rotating strikes”, according to postal workers’ union.  You can mail your order to the Saskatchewan address* but the delivery time could be longer than usual.  (Use the Saskatchewan, Canada address if you are not in the USA).

Cycle status as of Oct 26, 2025.

Cycle 25G week 15: motion film processing is complete and film is at the transfer stage.  We should be ready to bill orders in 2 weeks or so. 

Cycle 25H week 9: check your email spam if you haven’t received your invoice for still film processing and access to your gallery.  Motion film processing us underway.

Cycle 26A week 2: because of changes in procedures at the USA border we have had to delay our final pickup of packages for the cycle so we’ll be able to accommodate some orders the missed the actual cutoff of Oct. 20.
