Please only submit one order form per shipment. Normally within one business day after you submit your order form, we'll contact you by email with your order form in that email thread. Any corrections or clarifications can be made then. This email conversation becomes your work order. Do your best here but don't worry it's not perfect.
You will receive your invoice by email along with a secure payment gateway link. You'll enter your payment details at that point; you may pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or PayPal. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
First, check the box that pertains to the type of work you're sending us. You'll see a box with "I have read and understood the information..." for the service you've selected. If you understand how our service works and pricing, check the box. Then you'll be able to see and choose the options you want.
If you don't understand how we work or our pricing, click the link (at the end of the "I have read and understand" line) to the appropriate service page and review the details. If you still don't understand, please take a picture of what you're sending and email that to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your questions and we'll make sure you're well informed. Your confirmation of understanding is required to proceed with the order form.

We have two approaches to create color after we've made a digital security scan of your film, having first been most safely processed into B&W: acceleration and colorization.
Acceleration is a chemical process. Accelerated film has the potential to be true color and this approach to developing vintage color film also increases the clarity of the color version of the film when compared to developing the film directly to color as was originally intended for color film. Acceleration isn't possible with B&W or Kodachrome type film.
Colorization is a digital process done to the B&W digital file we create of your film and is more akin in look to a hand tinted historic photograph than it is to an actual color photograph. The appearance can be quite charming but object colors won't necessarily match real world colors. I.E. Grandpas blue car may now be a green car. Highly distressed B&W images won't colorize very well. Even if you opted for acceleration, colorization will be available for any image in your preview gallery, on a pick and choose basis. See here for current pricing

Process as B&W negative, the safest and most economical option. If I want color, I will choose the images I want colorized from my preview gallery.Process as B&W negative, then chemically accelerate to color. I will let FRI decide if this is worthwhile, based upon their inspection of the B&W negative and their past experience with the type of film I have. Add 15.00 USD.Process as B&W negative and I will make the decision whether to accelerate after seeing the B&W images in my gallery. If I decide to accelerate, I understand I will be billed the full price again for the reprocessing as this is twice the work for Film Rescue. I also understand that the reprocessing won't be done on the same cycle as the initial processing.
Negatives developed from long expired film are not an archival record in the same way as film developed before it had expired. You won't be able to significantly improve these by re-scanning and editing...we will have done this well and properly before adding to your online gallery. Getting your negatives back is not necessary. If you want your negatives returned you can choose that option from your online Gallery.
B&W film, Kodachrome and Kodachrome type films will only be processed as B&W negative. If you have a mix of films that can and can't be developed into color (i.e. Kodachrome and Ektachrome film) and want what can be developed into color, developed into color, choose the second option. If you don't know what you have and want the safest approach taken choose the first option. If you're unsure, add into the additional information or instructions your concerns and we'll discuss it with you before we proceed.

Westby, Montana is a remote town and couriers will often arrive outside of practical hours. If you request a signature, delivery of your package could be delayed. Please include our phone number on the shipping label: 1-800-329-8988. We prefer packages requiring a signature be sent to us through the USPS (mail).

* Once you submit your order you'll receive a copy at the email address you provided. If you have access to a printer, please print a copy of the order form to send along with your film.
Otherwise, please include at least your name, email and phone number inside the package with your film; once your film arrives, we'll match it with the online order form you've submitted.
