Film Rescue International™
Please only submit one order form per shipment. Normally within one business day after you submit your order form, we'll contact you by email with your order form in that email thread. Any corrections or clarifications can be made then. This email conversation becomes your work order. Do your best here but don't worry it's not perfect.
To avoid confusion, we strongly recommend using only one email address for all orders and correspondence.
We'll send your invoice by email; it will include a secure payment gateway. At that point, you'll enter your payment details. You may pay with PayPal or Stripe (for Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). Billing is in USD. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
First, check the box that pertains to the type of work you're sending us. You'll see a box with "I have read and understood the information..." for the service you've selected. If you understand how our service works and pricing, check the box. Then you'll be able to see and choose the options you want.
If you don't understand how we work or our pricing, click the link (at the end of the "I have read and understand" line) to the appropriate service page and review the details. If you still don't understand, please take a picture of what you're sending and email that to us at mail@filmrescue.com with your questions and we'll make sure you're well informed. Your confirmation of understanding is required to proceed with the order form.
If you have more than one type of work to send, you may need to scroll up / down the page in order to complete additional sections. Check the "I have read and understood..." box, and then pick the options you want.
* Select at least one service.
You must click this box to continue placing an order.
The safest way to develop film in questionable condition is to process it into B&W. This approach preserves the more durable silver image, ensuring that the film's content is not lost. Once the B&W version has been digitized, there is an option to chemically redevelop the film into color through a process known as "film acceleration".
After reviewing your B&W results, feel free to contact us, and we can discuss whether pursuing film acceleration would be worthwhile for your specific case.
2. I can live with risk. Attempt to develop my film direct to color
Note: Not available for B&W films, Kodachrome or k- process films, Dynachrome or similar non-substantive films (color dye not built in).
When developing film directly to color, we use a specialized high-contrast aerial film developer to recover as much of the original image as possible. However, the risk increases significantly with the film's age and storage conditions, particularly if it has been exposed to high temperatures. This process is not recommended for color films that are more than 20 years expired.
By choosing this option, you waive our “no image, no charge” guarantee due to the higher risk involved, and positive results cannot be assured. A non-refundable fee of $20 per film will be charged prior to starting the work.
* RECOGNIZABLE IMAGE: Please see the FAQ page here for information regarding what we consider "recognizable".
* TURN AROUND TIME: Please see the Old Photographic Film Processing page here for information regarding our turn around time.
Available upgrades once you have your online gallery of images. Pick and choose..
Film that is developed long after its expiration date may not retain the same archival qualities as film processed before its expiry. The importance of physically preserving the original film is a topic open to debate and may vary depending on individual preferences and needs.
Hold my film for up to 6 months while I decide if I would like it returned
It is your responsibility to request the return of your film after reviewing the results. You can do this directly through your online gallery or by contacting us. Please note that a return fee will apply.
