FILM-TO-VIDEO TRANSFERS (Previously processed film) We provide a high quality, affordably priced transfer. The two seldom go hand in hand. Though we pride ourselves in the transfer that we offer you may want to look at our general transfer information to help you make your choice on who you would like to do your transfer. Features of our transfer and our transfer service are:
Film can be transferred to DVD, VHS or mini DV. If you prefer your film transferred to VHS, we recommend that you have it transferred to DVD and then make a VHS copy. Why? The extra expense is small, you will be able to make much higher quality copies in the future, VHS is a dying format and DVDs will likely last much longer than VHS tapes. Also noteworthy is the fact that we keep backup copies of all DVD transfers. Customer
is responsible for clearly numbering all reels if a specific transfer
sequence is desired. If unsure, see the "Re-edit" section. Each film
reel is a new chapter on the menu for DVD transfers; a chapter title of
up to twenty characters can be included for each reel at no additional
charge.
Guarantee: If you are not happy with your transfer we will undertake to correct any problem. If that cannot be done to your satisfaction, we will pay (up to the amount we charged) to have your film transferred by a provider of your choice. Security: Backup copies of all DVD transfers are kept at Film Rescue. If your film is being transferred to VHS or mini DV, no backup copy is made. You may request security shipping to have your film sent separate from the video (additional charge). RE-EDIT For customers who don't know the order that their films should be transferred in. Or, if you previously had us transfer your films to DVD and discover that the sequence you originally indicated is incorrect. Since we keep backups of all transfers to DVD, it is a fairly simple matter to re-record your order back onto our hard drive, reorganize the reels/chapters and then make another DVD.
