General Information on Processing All Old, Antiquated and Expired Film
(Including slide/color reversal films)

As film ages it loses contrast. We process all still film in a manner to achieve the maximum contrast possible, in order to get the best scan and print. For this reason, most types of color film, including slide film, are processed leaving the more resilient silver layer intact. In conventional color processing the silver is normally washed away, leaving only the color dye layers. Our bleach omitted method means only B&W prints will be possible but greatly increases our success rates. When film is handled as we recommend, our average overall success rate on properly exposed and stored still film hovers around 90%. This high success rate enables us to guarantee our service.

If requested, we are willing to attempt to get color images from most color films but there is no guarantee offered on film not processed in our recommended manner. Full price will be charged regardless of the results. Bear in mind that the success rates are extremely low for certain color films not processed using our bleach omitted method.

All processing is done in-house on a monthly basis. Orders received by the 1st of the month will be returned in approximately 6 weeks. Orders received after the 1st may be held until the next work cycle (i.e.) the following month.
